Spammers usually use false names in order to evade capture. There is no mechanism in place on the Internet to certify the validity of From: email addresses. It has come to our attention that our domain name, FilosoConsulting.com, is being used by a few spammers. Please be aware that we never have, and never will, send Spam. Like all of you, we hate it! Spammers have nothing creative or necessary to contribute to society. Their greed drives them to inconvenience the rest of us, and burden the Internet, all to put a few dollars in their own pockets.
The Internet and email are wonderful things. Most of us use them everyday to conduct business, and to stay in touch with our friends and family. In the last few years we've discovered, to our dismay, that the Internet is not as secure as we would wish. Viruses, hackers, and identity theft have become almost daily breaking news.
One of the biggest problems which we face is SPAM - unauthorized email advertising some product or service which we are not the least bit interested in. It clogs our email Inboxes. It's like a parasite which slows down the whole Internet. It costs legitimate businesses hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to dispose of, and thousands of hours of lost productivity. Those few ignorant companies who use spam to advertise their products don't realize that the hatred that it builds in potential customers will doom their enterprise to failure.
Also, it's not uncommon for hackers to use spam as a way to invade your computer, to steal your identity, or to take files and information from your personal computer, sometimes to sell to the highest bidder.
We should all fight against spam in all of its forms. As the public outcry gets louder, we expect to see in the not-too-distant future technology changes which will prevent false identity emails and will reduce or eliminate pesky spam on this wonderful Internet.
